My healing began when everything I had believed in came crashing down. The false security I had built my life around was stripped away and with nowhere left to run, I turned inward.
What I found there wasn't comfortable. My sense of self-worth, security and success had been built on beliefs that were never truly mine — a shadow I had spent years avoiding without knowing it. Confronting that shadow became the beginning of everything.
For years I had navigated layers of childhood trauma, narcissistic abuse, chronic anxiety and C-PTSD. In my early years I sought validation constantly, terrified of abandonment. By my mid-20s the pendulum swung. I became hyper-independent, emotionally shut down, and avoided closeness entirely. Relationships felt unsafe. I didn't yet understand that my body was simply doing what it had always been wired to do — survive.
Those suppressed emotions began to manifest in my physical body. I developed signs of fibromyalgia — waking up every single morning chronically fatigued and exhausted. My immune system was depleted, catching every cold that came my way. My gut was constantly inflamed. I struggled with Insomnia — working nearly 12 hours a day, coming home exhausted, yet my body unable to properly shut down.
What began as a desperate attempt to heal chronic anxiety became a 5 year journey of deep inner work. I explored every healing modality available from science-backed clinical approaches to holistic, body-based and energetic practices. True transformation only came when I stopped trying to understand my pain and started releasing it from within. Layer by layer, I began to rediscover an identity that wasn't built on survival mechanisms.
The anxiety that had followed me for years , the physical symptoms my body had been holding onto for so long were gone. And somewhere in that process, a new version of me emerged. One that wasn't rooted in fear.
I wasn't the same person who had started this journey and I'm grateful I'm not. That's what became possible when the healing went deep enough. And it's what I know is possible for you too.
